101 Ways to Save the Earth

Author: David BellamyIllustrator: Penny Dann

Published originally in 1991 as How Green are You?, this oracular offering from the sage Bellamy – top of the eco-pops in those days – resurfaces to join the mass of eco-flotsam among which we now bob along.

Adopting the persona of ‘the friendly whale’, Bellamy spouts forth now familiar green-living exhortations, most of which are much more acceptable among us than they may have been 17 years ago. It’s all still good and pleasant stuff, and quite endearing in its own way, and – all the better – it’s printed on 100% recycled paper, some of it conceivably derived from its previous editions, which would be a friendly fluke.
