Bored Bill

Author: Liz Pichon

This author/illustrator has a distinctive art style, using colour and image boldly and imaginatively. Bill is so bored he can’t even finish his bonio. Bored, bored, bored. Unlike his mistress, Mrs Pickle, who likes to keep busy all day. When a howling wind sweeps Bill up into the sky he lands on a strange purple planet where he meets some intriguing aliens. At last Bill is ready to explore and have fun – but he finds the aliens are bored. This cautionary tale has Bill teaching the aliens to cook, play games, and do kung-fu moves. Everyone will delight in seeing the transformation of this pudgy, miserable creature into the animated and friendly dog he becomes at the end of the tale. A satisfying story.
