Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs

Author: Giles AndreaeIllustrator: Russell Ayto

When Flinn, a dinosaur mad lad, runs out of pens for his picture, his teacher sends him into the stock cupboard where he finds a sniffling pirate. Captain Stubble has lost his ship Acorn to a band of roaring robbers. Flinn promises to help him recover the ship and accompanied by three classmates, sets sail on a leaky vessel in pursuit of the stolen Acorn. The pirate dinosaurs are no match for brave Captain Flinn and his crew, not even the fearsome Captain T Rex. A rollicking story that combines dinosaurs, pirates, fighting and fun. Ayto’s twists and turns of line and viewpoint create novel shapes and patterns and illustrations that spark with angular vitality. Altogether an absorbing read.
