Dinosnore!

The dinosaur babies are quick to wake up but not their mother. They push, pinch, poke and call her to no avail, the snoring goes on. New measures are tried, fairly gentle at first then becoming more forceful – elbow, push, shove – till they have their still-snoring parent on a downhill path towards the very muddy swamp. Therein they splash and splatter her, jump and bounce on her till finally she emerges with a ROAR!

Set in a tropical jungle landscape the story unfolds through the action packed paintings and just 43 words, with bit parts being played by observing snake and parrots. There are lots of lovely dramatic words for young audience participation. This is a treat for beginning readers to get their claws into.
