Drat That Cat!

Author: Tony Ross

Tony Ross’ story-telling wit and hilarious illustrations, executed in pen, ink and water-colour, make this a book to be enjoyed by all the family. Suzy Cat causes the Baggot family much grief, for her devastating exploits are many and varied. ‘Drat that cat!’ is a cry heard all over the house. One day Suzy decides to teach her family a lesson. For days she refuses to eat or drink or play, despite the Baggots’ attempts to entice her, and she needs a visit to the vet. For two days, how miserable are the family, how quiet the house, without Suzy! We see them seated in silence around the table, unable to eat. Haha, the twist in the tale! That dratted cat is returned full of beans, and is just smothered in love! And the secret of Suzy’s lesson is revealed to the readers as she chats with her bulldog neighbour that night… Lots of fun.
