Hello Twins

Author: Charlotte Voake

Something of a surprise from Charlotte Voake, this book reveals a freer, brushy approach to illustration as compared with her more familiar pen and ink work. With the apparently growing incidence of multiple births, this is a timely look at a subject that is clearly close to the author’s heart. The book playfully explores the differences between brother and sister; ‘Charlotte likes building things. Simon likes making them fall down.’ Voake’s drawings have great charm, they are full of movement and understated character, the book is beautifully designed and produced and will not just appeal to twins!
