Jeremiah Jellyfish Flies High!

Author: John Fardell

This is a lovely book. The detailed illustrations are super with a subtle humour to them and the story is very engaging and well told. One day while drifting along the ocean currents with all the other jellyfish, young Jeremiah takes the bold step of swimming away in another direction to explore what else might be out there in the world. He’s been warned off it before but this time his grandfather encourages him to follow his dreams. Jeremiah has exciting times, does amazing things, becomes a high flier (literally too) until one day he feels he needs a rest. It’s fine being a high flier but ‘sometimes it’s good to just drift…’ A change is as good as a rest in other words. There’s a pleasing variety to the typography layout throughout, with lots of white space around pictures and text on some pages and elsewhere full colour double page spreads. An imaginatively witty story for young ones to enjoy.
