Oww!

Even if you have not come across Rosen’s Snore (the book!), you will enjoy this new story about Piggy Piglet and his  farmyard friends. Piggy P has a prickly problem when a thistle, entangled in his curly tail, causes distress. He calls for help to creatures slumbering nearby, and all try different ways to remove the thistle, but to no avail. They think Donkey might help, but decide not to ask him, as all he ever thinks of is eating. But when Donkey turns up… YUM, YUM, problem solved! Rosen’s use of rhythm and repetition and the cumulative story-style will ensure even the youngest reader can engage with the text. The illustrations are charming and full of fun, each animal expressively drawn, each intent upon the prickly task in hand.
