Princess Mirror-Belle and the Dragon Pox

Author: Julia DonaldsonIllustrator: Lydia Monks

Ellen has got the chicken pox, but her cheeky reflection, Princess Mirror-Belle, claims her itchy red spots are in fact the dreaded dragon pox, which she caught during her latest kidnapping. Not to worry though – she’s got the perfect cure and it won’t matter that they use up all the things in the bathroom because in her world there is always a magical alternative! One giant soapy-sudsy mess later, Ellen’s bathroom is flooded and her mummy is pretty cross – but have her itchy red spots gone away?

A gorgeous explosion of pretty pinks and glamorous glitter will make the eyes of little girls light up everywhere. A longer story from Donaldson means this is a good leap-frog text from picture flats towards early readers, and it could cheer up any little ones suffering from the ‘dragon pox’ themselves – although the bathtub concoction is not recommended!
