Rita's Rabbits

With a birthday imminent, Rita really, REALLY hopes she will receive her dream pet as a gift. What she really wants is a rabbit. A squidgy, splendidly soft and cuddly rabbit. When she opens her present however, it is a ‘scaly, scary, scratchy, scrabbly, scrawny, speckled and spiky…bearded dragon!’ A tale of be careful what you wish for, as a neighbours’ rogue rabbit causes mayhem and havoc throughout the house, Rita realizes rabbits are not necessarily cuddly and soft. Spike comes to the rescue, and of course, he and Rita then become best of pals. There is much in the witty illustrations to add to the actions, Rita being a feisty little girl with very clear convictions. Finally she dresses as a green dragon herself, as she cuddles her beloved pet.
