Stormbreaker – the graphic novel

Author: Anthony HorowitzIllustrators: Kanako Damerum, Yuzuru Takasaki

This film tie-in is just a bit more than a comic book version. The artists have delivered strong details and a sub-text that transcend the SLAM/BANG style we normally expect. They’ve also managed to lend a certain visually emotional sensitivity to Alex Rider’s adventure.

The Bondesque 14-year-old discovers that his bank worker guardian in fact worked for MI6 and had been training his ward for a similar role in life. Reluctantly Alex gets involved in completing his uncle’s mission to uncover just what the sinister Darrius Sayle intends when he generously offers to put his sophisticated computer technology into the hands of every child in the country. Alex finds out and it’s a hell of an adventure!
