The Far Planets

Author: Ian Graham

One of a series on ‘Discovering Space’ with extensively illustrated descriptions of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune and of the space probes sent to explore them. There is a spread on the dwarf planets, including Pluto, which has lost its planetary status. Moons and rings are described. There are a Timeline, Glossary, Index and Webfinder. A thoughtful reader might well infer (wrongly) from the specification of a ‘Distance from the Sun’ for each far planet that this distance is fixed, so that the orbits are circular.
