The Greatest Intergalactic Guide to Space Ever… by the Brainwaves

Author: Carole StottIllustrators: Lisa Swerling, Ralph Lazar

Another rush through the Universe, amply and humorously commented on by small humanoids called the Brainwaves. The contents and development of the Universe are outlined, followed by spreads on galaxies and their structure, astronomers and how they observe, stars and their development, the Solar System and its planets, the Earth and its interior, space voyaging and exploration of the Moon. There are a Glossary and Index. Brevity is occasionally misleading; for example, anyone who accepts that ‘the Moon and Sun appear the same size’ without further qualification would have a difficult time understanding annular eclipses. But there is in sum a vast amount of detailed information entertainingly presented.
