What's That Noise, Mr Croc?

Author: Jo Lodge

Mr Croc keeps doing interesting and unexpected things. This time, he is making lots of noise. The conceal/reveal technique of the flaps is used to good effect as they conceal the source of each noise but provide clues as to what it might be. The paper engineering is excellent, with Mr Croc shattering his egg and splashing egg yolk everywhere with a pull of a tab. Mr Croc’s persona has evolved. From being a predator of undefined age in Knock! Knock! Mr Croc, he now dresses as a boy and does boy type things. He still snaps at you at the end of What’s That Noise, Mr Croc? but it is all in fun, as he is jumping on his bed in his pyjamas. Lodge has come up with yet another Mr Croc book that is great fun.
