Woozy the Wizard: A Spell to Get Well

Author: Elli WoollardIllustrator: Al Murphy

Woozy the wizard lives with his pig and cares for the people of Snottington Sneeze. He has a trusted book of spells to meet all occasions, but what can he do when everyone around comes down with awful colds? Suddenly the spell book, not to mention Woozy’s ideas, is not enough… Told in rhyme throughout, Woollard’s eye for the foibles and mishaps of everyday life is realistic and sympathetic. Readers, or even those who are read to, will enjoy the rhymes and predicaments of Woozy as they join in with the story. The moral of the story is reassuring – even though Woozy is none too efficient, it is his kindness that saves the day and is appreciated.
