Yes You Can, Cow!

This gorgeous heart-warming story is about learning to believe in ourselves. We must not be afraid of making mistakes, and understand that sometimes we can’t do something… YET! The book is a re-working of the nursery rhyme, Hey Diddle Diddle, the Cat and the Fiddle, one we hope is still familiar with young children today. The front cover alerts us to a performance about to begin, bright red curtains being drawn back to reveal a motley crew of characters on stage. The rehearsal begins. All the characters have been introduced, the Moon, the Cat, Dog, Dish and Spoon. But where is Cow? Something is not right, for Cow is hiding. Mooooo! She says she can’t do it. Couldn’t they cut the bit where she jumps over the moon? All the characters gang up on her, stating they can think of a hundred cows who’d JUMP at the chance to star in Hey Diddle Diddle! Pages later, the supporting cast suggest Cow could try just one brave thing… jump over the Dish? HURRAY!
