This is the summer that changed Little Tiger.

As we reach our thirtieth birthday, Little Tiger Press is looking at a refreshing contemporary editorial direction, with our brand new selection of summer picture books leading the way.
In July, Little Tiger Press publishes The Messy Book by Maudie Powell-Tuck & Richard Smythe (£10.99 hbk)
Cat has made a mess and she won’t tidy up. No matter how many times Dog asks her. Can Dog convince her to tidy up this very messy book?
Packed with humour and adorably funny animal characters, The Messy Book is the perfect story for anyone who has ever been told to tidy their room. This is a story with a positive message of working together and friendship. It’s a fresh and innovative concept, with a surprise design twist! The illustrations have been pieced together with piles of colours and shapes, keeping the mess in order to reveal a beautiful story.
With hilarious writing from Maudie Powell-Tuck and characterful illustrations from Richard Smythe (Beep Beep Beep Time For Sleep!), The Messy Book is perfect to inspire crafting activities.
When not writing, Maudie spends far too much of her time in expensive shops gawping at clothes and glittery things she can’t afford, and dreaming about owning a pug called Stanley. She’d love to say that she runs marathons – but that would be a lie.
Richard Smythe lives near Tunbridge Wells with his wife and dog. He loves drawing and has been scribbling away since he was a tiny boy – often covering his sister’s homework with his ‘masterpieces’, much to her annoyance. Richard loves to tell stories with his illustrations, especially if they involve animals and silly things.
In August comes a mysterious sound in the middle of the night, with The Great AAA-OOO by Jonny Lambert (£10.99 hbk)
As Mouse scampers homewards through the dark, rackety wood, he hears an awful AAA-OOO! What could be making that horrible howl? Could it be Owl, Moose, Bear or Goose? Or could it be…a monster?
This gorgeous animal picture book is perfect for reassuring children and toddlers who are scared of the dark or adjusting to sleeping in a big bed or in their own room. With beautiful print illustrations on a striking black backdrop and lyrical text from talented author-illustrator Jonny Lambert (I Love You More and More, Little Why).
Jonny Lambert grew up in Surrey and always knew he wanted to be an artist of some sort. Encouraged by his art tutor at the Reigate School of Art and Design, Jonny is now an artist of many sorts: a talented illustrator with over 300 titles to his name, designer, and paper engineer. He lives with his wife, daughter and a menagerie of animals near Horsham, West Sussex.
Get ready to draw your way out of mischief, with Paws Mcdraw: Fastest Doodler in the West by Connah Brecon (£10.99 hbk)
Meet Paws McDraw! He can draw his way out of danger and save the day with just one sketch. But when the Rascally Racoon Gang cause chaos at the Cupcake Carnival, has Paws finally met his match?
Paws McDraw is a hilarious picture book, bursting with fabulous animal characters and wonderfully fun drawings by author-illustrator Connah Brecon (Frank!). Children will fall in love with Paws McDraw: the newest and most artistic superhero in town!
Connah Brecon is a British author, illustrator and rocking horse whisperer, currently living in Melbourne, Australia, with his family. Connah owns many, many pencils but none of them is quite like the one carried by Paws McDraw.
Prepare for meanie big brothers to get their comeuppance in There’s No Such Thing as a Snappenpoop by Jeanne Willis & Matt Saunders (£10.99 hbk).
Little Brother wants to join the fun but Big Brother won’t let him play. ‘Fetch me a Snappenpoop!’ says Big Brother. ‘Then you can play’. But everyone knows there’s no such thing as a Snappenpoop…or IS there?
A wonderfully unique picture book from award-winning author Jeanne Willis (The Bog Baby, The First Slodge). Packed with magical creatures and bossy siblings, this delightfully wicked cautionary tale is set to become a children’s favourite. Perfect for helping children to understand the importance of family, friendship and sharing.
With fabulous gothic-influenced artwork from debut picture book illustrator and Pottermore doodler, Matt Saunders.
Jeanne Willis is an internationally acclaimed author of children’s books. To date she has written over 250 books for children of all ages, from toddlers to teens.
