Breakers

Author: Julia Clarke

Cat mothers her younger sister while they both cope with the dramas of their actress mother (who now whisks them away from London to Yorkshire) and the slings and arrows of life in general and the move in particular. Within a disappointing, formulaic teenage lurve story there are strands of much more: a range of different emotional needs are explored in relationships which span the generations and reverberate between them. The problems are interestingly juxtaposed but seem to disappear with the kiss from Mr Right.
