CHERUB: Divine Madness
There’s a curious irony here that an International Intelligence Agency takes bright, young children and trains them in its morally correct ideologies to be secret agents. Three are then sent to infiltrate a powerful religious sect, notorious for its control methods, including brainwashing. However, the latter has teemed up with a ruthless eco terrorist group who operate on a global scale, so destroying its headquarters is O.K. then!
Thoroughly modern-minded youngsters, involved in action adventures, living and loving a fast-paced, IT savvy life seem to have invaded the teen book market and this one, part of an ongoing series, is a readable addition. Is it the storyteller’s response to the simulated real/unreal worlds of play stations I wonder? Boys as well as girls should find this a pretty compulsive read.
