The many uses of the mammal species known as ‘the parent/s’ are outlined in this heart-warming and brilliant picture book which is vibrantly illustrated by Sara Ogilvie. At last, recognition for the long suffering parent who must mend, warm, twirl, sort and remember – amongst their many other uses. It is the adult reader who will laugh out loud in recognition (‘Mum is a donkey’) whilst the child looks sheepishly on – and then demands you to read it again.

This is a wonderful story to read aloud with its clever, lilting rhymes – one for parents and little ones everywhere.
